For one entire month I have not blogged. I feel terrible for it but you would not believe how busy my life has been. I've got five minutes before I go home so here it goes...
Life was pretty boring in September and then towards the end of the month, I got offered an interview for one of the jobs I applied for. I put on my suit and made my way to West Moors Camp. The interview went well, but not as great as I had hoped. I came away with mixed feelings.
The following week, I found out that I had got the job! Which now means I will be moving to Bournemouth, yippeeeeeeee! I can move out of home and into a house without parents! Bliss! The house belongs to Chris's friend, Dom. And the only other person who lives there is Dom's brother Joe but he's hardly ever there so it's going to be like living on my own. I'm so excited! Plus, the job is a higher grade so it's more pay! Everything is happening so quickly and it's all brand new. I start my new job on 30th October and finish this one 27th October. I've already started moving my stuff into the new place so it's starting to feel real already.
On the same day that I found out about the job, I did some babysitting for Major Reeve again on the camp. About half an hour into the babysitting, I sat the baby in his play chair. I looked out of the window and it was raining so hard. So I ran outside (shut the door behind me) to check if I had left my sunroof open on my car or not. Then I ran back to get back into the house and the door had locked itself. FUCK. I looked through the window and there was the baby, crying his little eyes out, bless him. I felt awful and didn't know what to do. So I got in my car and drove to the Officer's Mess (where Major Reeve and his wife were), found them and told them the situation. They were really cool with it (luckily!) and told me where the spare key was. I got into the house and gave the baby the biggest hug ever. I felt really terrible. That was my lesson learnt!
The day after, I got new hair! It's quite a bit shorter and is now all over a plummy purple type colour. I love it!
Apart from that, I don't really have a lot else to say!
More updates soon! I promise that it won't be so long next time.

Wow, what a busy weekend!
So on Friday evening, I was babysitting for the Reeve's again. Little baby Nick is on solid foods now and can sit up on his own without my help, which is much easier for me not having to take him everywhere I go. But he did cry an awful lot. Eventually, I managed to get him calmed down and ready for bed. Then I drove to Chris's.
On Saturday, we went mountain biking with Fluff and James at Puddletown Forest. I like biking with Fluff because she's a beginner like me and we help each other out while the boys storm off down the hills and bumps! It was a really good day at the forest. Weather was perfect and there were lots of other people riding there too, so it was good for social stuff too. I was too wimpy to go on any of the jumps or bomb holes but I had a good time anyway so I don't care!
Afterwards, we went to Fluff and Jame's house to watch some films and have a few drinks because it was his birthday. Me and Chris stayed over there.
On the Sunday, we drove to my house. We went to the Folk Festival and I bought some nice jewellery and then we got the keys to my parent's beach hut and went for a swim...it was freezing cold and Chris kept going on about his bits shrinking in the water or something!

Our Spanish kitties have arrived!
They have been travelling since Monday morning all the way from Spain. Nibble and Twiggy are ex feral cats and used to live with my grandmother when she lived in Spain but she can't look after them anymore now that she lives in England...so we're having them!
They're both incredibly friendly and they like to meow a lot. I wonder how they will get on with Buddy and Suki...!
Aren't they too cute?

Today Chris and I have been together for one whole year! I'm very happy. He's amazing and he's so good to me! I love him.
So we went away together for a short trip to the city of Bath. We stayed in a beautiful hotel called Dorian House. We exchanged our presents this morning after breakfast. When we got to the top of the stairs, Chris put his hands over my eyes and led me to our bedroom and then took his hands away and there was my present on the bed...a pink electric guitar complete with amp and accessories! At first, I wasn't sure. But then I was really happy and I loved it! It just goes to show that Chris does listen to me! A little while ago when he started learning to play the drums, I said that one day I'd love to learn guitar again.

I bought Chris a canvas painting of Dimebag Darryl, the guitarist from Pantera who was shot a few years ago. Also a Fox wallet and some Davidoff shower gel.
We spent the day in the city centre. We got a taxi into the centre because it was raining. We went into the Roman Baths and had a look around.

We had a really nice day together and we went back to the hotel later that afternoon to get ready for our meal out together. We got a taxi and went to an oriental restaurant recommended by Chris's parents from when they were in Bath. It was really nice there and it was all you can eat...yippeeeee! I had a whole bottle of wine to myself, so was quite drunk by the end of the meal. I was too scared to get on the escalator by myself after all of that wine so Chris had to help me! We asked the restaurant if we could take the rest of the bottle of wine with us (about a glass left in the bottle) and they said yes but they didn't have a cork, so Chris kept hold of it.
We were waiting outside for the taxi, just hugging and kissing and waiting for the cab when some policemen came up to us, took the wine bottle from us and emptied it down the drain. Then they went to tell the restaurant off for letting us have the wine in the first place. We weren't causing any problems so I don't really know what the fuss was about. That was annoying.
We got back to the hotel after celebrating our first year together! I love you, Chris!

The social butterfly hates me.
Whatever I do, I cannot be socialable in the mornings. The only thing that just about gets me going is a cup of tea and that doesn't always work. I am rude, not talkative, grumbly, picky and just plain shitty.
So at the weekend, I get a phone call from this old guy at work. When I couldn't drive, he used to give me a lift here and there, which was very nice of him. He said that his car needed a service and he wondered if he could get a lift from me into work. Of course, I agreed. And when I picked him up on this morning, I smiled nicely and unlocked my car door for him to get in. He stunk of cigarettes when he got in my car and when he talked. This made me feel iffy and a bit miffed too. I had woken up late and therefore was not really in the mood. He commented on my music and said
"That's stuff a bit heavy for me."
Tough shit, I listen to metal...what do you expect!
"Is it? Oh, I rather like it."
Once we'd arrived at work, I let him out and arranged to meet him at 1630.
I picked him up at 1630 and started the drive back home. Again, he was chatty and I was not. I dropped him off at the garage to pick up his car and it wasn't ready...which meant I'd have to try and be smiley and socialble the next day too.
Grrr.

So working in the bar last night really wasn't that bad. The guys kept buying me Red Bull so I was well awake for the drive back home and I'm not feeling to bad today! Got to do it all again tonight.
Oh, I'm really craving cheese on toast today.

I agreed to work in the Sergeant's Mess bar tonight and tomorrow. I'm going to be utterly shattered. I'll be at my normal day job 0830 - 1630 then onto the bar for 1930 until midnight...or whenever I can get them out of the bar.
Yawn. But I think of the money and that makes me happy Easy money anyway, chatting to the guys and pulling pints.

Today was time to go home. I got up early to pack my bags and had breakfast with Kim's family. Kim's mum gave me presents to give to my family, and a bottle of Jagermeister for Chris! They're very kind.
Ralf and Tina drove me to the airport around midday and once I arrived, I said my goodbyes and bit my lip so I wouldn't cry and then made my way into the disaster that is Frankfurt airport. I was hungry and had checked in for my flight early so went to an "Amercan Diner" at the airport and had a good German meal before I left.
I sat by the window and fell asleep.

Kim had to go back to work today so I spent another day on my own without her. After lunch with Kim's parents in the Feurwehr Bar, Tina (Kim's sister) and I walked to the Activ Markt to get some things to take back home. I bought Chris's brother his birthday present from there, which was a bottle of "Kleiner Feigling" which is German vodka. He has a bar in his bedroom so I thought that it would go down well!
Kim came earlier this evening, about 1900ish and we went with her parents to the last night of Kerwe. We saw Maria on the way!

Kim's stepdad, Ralf, bought me a Havana Cola. As soon as I started sipping it, all of the German's around me started shaking their heads and going "Uh-oh!" and started making being sick motions! I shrugged and drunk the one I had. I also had 5 or so more. I was very drunk. I was dancing with Kim! I got half way through my fifth pint glass and realised my limit had been reached. So Kim and I started to walk to the rest of Kerwe, looking for friends on the way. I needed some serious help walking to the TV Bar...!

I was smashed! Then we went to watch the Kerwe funeral just before midnight. I already knew that I was going to be sick so I had planned my exit and my puking place. I went and sat down there and sicked up a glass or two of the Havana Cola I had drunk. I felt much better afterwards though!
After the Kerwe funeral, it was time to go home and say my goodbyes to everyone as I would be flying home the next morning. I was all teary eyed (as I usually am after a few drinks) and kept saying in German "I'm going to miss you!". Saying goodbye to Kim was the most difficult.

Oww. Waking up this morning hurt so much. Kim and I were so tired, we just couldn't stop yawning! We had to get up early at 10 this morning because we were going out for lunch with her parents and then we were going to see the Kerwe speech and the procession.
We went for lunch and I think I had schnitzel (steak covered in some sort of sauce) and chips. We yawned all of the way through!

The streets of Hemsbach look so empty during the daytime when the Kerwe madness isn't going on.

After lunch, went to the Sparkasse to watch the first Kerwe procession. Hemsbacher Kerwe has been running for 36 years now and this was the first procession they had ever had in all of those years. It was very good, considering it was their first attempt.

After the procession, we moved to go and watch the Kerwe speech, which is always good fun. Sometimes I just laugh when everyone else does because I don't understand what they're talking about in the speech and I don't want to look like the silly English girl!

We had a really good evening that night. I had my emergency vodka with me! We ended up spending the last bit of the evening with Dennis, Gliewe, Eric etc. They were all smashed!

It was time to go home and go to bed. We needed all of the energy we could get for Kerwe Monday!
